॥ श्रीः ॥ ॥ द्वैतवेदान्ते विशेषः ॥ “अस्त्यत्र प्रमेयविषः शिंशुपा वृक्षविशेषः मा हिंस्यात् सर्वा भूतानि अग्निशोमीयं पशुमालभेत इत्यत्र समान्यविशेषभावः वर्तते” इत्यादौ वैलक्षण्यार्थकः विशेषशब्दः प्रयुक्तः । तथाच भेदाभावेऽपि यत्र भेदव्यवहारादिकार्यं भवति तन्निर्वाहायाचार्यैः भेदप्रतिनिधितया विशेषो नाम पदार्थः अभ्युपगतः । यथा घटरूपयोर्गवाश्वा-दिवद्विविक्तत्वेन प्रतीत्यभावादभेदस्तावत्प्रमितः । तथापि ’घटस्य रूपं’ इत्याधारादेय-भावेन व्यवहारः, रूपे ज्ञातेऽपि कदाचित् घटादीनामज्ञानम्,तद्वाचकयोः शब्दयोः पर्यायताभावः, रूपरसादीनामनेकत्वेऽपि घटस्यानेकत्वाभाव …
